We’re growing our associate team and are looking for a SEND Law Advocate who cares deeply about children, values relationships, and wants to practise advocacy in a way that is professional, proportionate, and genuinely child-centred.

At ADHD Wise, we work in ways that are solution-focused, neuro-affirming, and dignity-led. We’re often welcomed into schools and multi-agency meetings where more adversarial approaches haven’t been effective. We combine clear evidence, respect, and calm authority, even in difficult conversations.

  • Deliver SEND law advocacy through ADHD Wise, as part of a wider, multidisciplinary service
  • Support families to understand and use their rights without defaulting to conflict
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teachers and practitioners
  • Centre the child or young person’s voice, lived experience, and needs
  • Work is primarily remote / online, with some travel for meetings where appropriate

This is not a “fight at all costs” role.
It is a role for someone who knows when to challenge, and how to do so with care and professionalism.

  • Are Level 3 trained (or equivalent) in SEND Law / SEND Advocacy
  • Have experience with EHCP requests, refusals, or appeals
  • Understand neurodivergence as difference, not deficit
  • Can balance legal robustness with warmth, clarity, and relational sensitivity
  • Are comfortable working as a self-employed associate within a multi-disciplinary service

We actively welcome expressions of interest from people with diverse backgrounds, including those with lived experience of neurodivergence, disability, or the SEND system. We value different perspectives and believe they strengthen our work.

  • Self-employed / associate basis
  • Nonexclusive
  • Clients contract with ADHD Wise
  • ADHD Wise invoices clients and pays the associate at an agreed rate

If this sounds like your kind of work, we’d love to hear from you.

Please email review the job description and person specification on our website, and email your application to info@adhdwise.uk

We’re thoughtful about who we work with.  If your advocacy is grounded in dignity, professionalism, and the child’s voice, you’ll likely feel at home with us.
